XXI Century Italians Solid 800 Silver Baroque Style Dihh

Large plate in solid 800 silver in baroque style.The very wide and important edge has been completely hand-worked with embossing, chiselling, burin and knurling.The classic baroque style volutes have been embossed, divided into six sectors interspersed with an embossing with a vase, flowers and fruit.Between the embossings a knurling has been carried out, that is a very thick and close hammering. This is to highlight the volutes and fruit compositions, typical of the baroque style.The centre of the plate has been left smooth and polished with pumice stone.The outer edge was finished with a border made using the casting technique, also featuring stylised scroll and shell designs.Made in Valenza – Italy in the silversmith’s workshop of ARVAL ARGENTI
